New Mac Book Air
I need to a ultrabook , a really portable laptop. At WWDC, Apple released the new Generation of MacBook Air. The specification is upgraded the new Intel CPU, haswell. That sounds better than the option I was considering Lenovo Carbon X1 which is using the Ivy Bridge. Moreover MacBook Air sounds to have better battery life. Do I should buy MacBook Air, right a way. or Wait. There will be more Haswell Ultrabook in the market very soon.
Freemium is good for Business App too!
Freemium model is widely using in Mobile App. You can play the games without any charges, but if you want to get some extra functions, you need to pay. For example, you can pay some money to get some extra weapons for game characters. There are many successful stories.
We(AdvGen) are trying out this model. The users can use our free version with the basic function. If they want to have some more advance functions, they need to buy the premium version. In the way, the users can try the app first, they can see whether the app is suitable for them and the free version can worth the trust from the users at the mean time.
Umbraco vs Orchard
There are a number of open source asp.net CMS around, such as n2 and mojoportal. Even our company build an opensource CMS, AdvGenCMS. That is still in beta status. We just started to rolling out for some customers to test. Thus, we are still using some opensource cms. There are two of them I like most, Umbraco and Orchard. I love Orchard a lot, it is using MVC, Fluent Hibernate and Autofac. Moreover, the admin interface has a lot of functions and you can drag and drop the widget. That is easy to use. The major problem used too many opensource libraries. I need the system to be simpler.
So, I come to the second choice, Umbraco. This is widely supported, a number of companies are using this.
Moreover, the admin interface is very simple, nice and clean, that is a out of box solution!
Google Compute Engine is ready to test for everyone
I read the blog of Google Compute Engine. The preview of this product is available for everyone. That is good to have an option of Amazon EC2. We can create virtual instance in the Google. But it doesn't like Amazon EC2, you can choose your OS template. Anyway, that is good to have an choice rather than Amazon.

Love & Hates for SSD
SSD is so good. I planned to upgrade all of our dev pcs to use SSD. It can bring the huge performance to our pcs, but the cost is so high. We have a lot of data in each PC. At least, we need 256GB, my PC even need 512GB. That costs us all of money. SSD is still not affordable for the small business like us.
